Magnetometers
MEMSIC’s family of magnetometers are available in both dual-axis and three-axis versions. They are based on anisotropic magnetoresistive (AMR) Permalloy technology sensors, which have superior accuracy and response time characteristics, while consuming significantly less power than alternative technologies. The magnetic sensors are designed in a Wheatstone bridge configuration to detect the changes in the external magnetic field. The magnetometer provides a store or setup function of the internal magnetization field. Dual Axis
The MEMSIC MMC212xMN is a dual-axis magnetic sensor with superior magnetic field measuring performance characteristics. It is a complete sensing system with integrated signal processing and I2C bus, allowing the device to be connected directly to a microprocessor eliminating the need for A/D converters or timing resources. It has a magnetic field measuring range of +/- 4gauss and a sensitivity of 512 counts/Gauss @3.0V at 25 degrees C. It has a low operating power consumption of only 0.4mA @3V. The MMC212xMG provides an I2C digital output with 400 KHz, fast mode operation and is packaged in a 3x3x0.7mm LCC package. |

Three-AXIS
The MEMSIC MMC314xMS is a three-axis magnetic sensor with superior magnetic field measuring performance characteristics. It is a complete sensing system with integrated signal processing and I2C bus, allowing the device to be connected directly to a microprocessor eliminating the need for A/D converters or timing resources. It has a magnetic field measuring range of +/- 4gauss and a sensitivity of 512 counts/Gauss @3.0V at 25 degrees C. It has a low operating power consumption of only 0.55mA@3V. The MMC212xMG provides an I2C digital output with 400 KHz, fast mode operation and is packaged in an ultra small low profile 3x3x1mm LGA package and is available in operating temperature ranges of -40C to +85C.
